Quantum Valley Investments (QVI) est un fonds privé créé en 2013 par les co-fondateurs de BlackBerry Mike Lazaridis et Doug Fregin pour commercialiser les percées issues de l'écosystème quantique de Waterloo. Pur quantique, le fonds a démarré avec CAD $100M apportés intégralement en capital personnel par les fondateurs.
Enraciné dans le cluster quantique de Waterloo aux côtés de l'Institute for Quantum Computing, du Perimeter Institute et de l'Université de Waterloo, QVI donne aux entreprises du portefeuille un accès privilégié à la recherche de premier plan, aux cleanrooms et nano-fab spécialisées, et à un Scientific Advisory Committee de rang mondial.
Il soutient les ventures depuis les premiers prototypes jusqu'à la commercialisation, avec des tickets flexibles sur un horizon long thesis-driven.
